Happy Hawaii Paintings in Gouache

Aloha friends! I've got some really cute and happy gouache paintings featuring Hawaiian creatures and scenery that I'm so excited to share with you today:)

I'm developing a line of greeting cards so creating the perfect cohesive body of work is the most important first step. Today's video features timelapse demos of all my gouache artworks, and then in a few short weeks I'll have a video demonstrating how I turned my simple idea into a pack of actual greeting cards to sell in stores. Applying Gold Leaf :: My First Time!

Aloha fellow artistas and gold-lovas! I am super psyched to bring you a tutorial featuring my first time using the most exciting accent of them all: gold leaf!!

I was a little wary of filming myself using a brand new (to me) art medium, but I figured any screw-ups might help someone else learn, so why not, right? You won't believe how surprised I was to have the gold leaf turn out PERFECTLY on the very first try! Hooray!!

So check out this fun tutorial and you can literally be gilding like a pro in no time at all!! Fan-freakin-tastic!!!!

Optional:

• Pencil
• Talcum Powder

Supplies:

• Mona Lisa Metal Leaf Kit
• Large stiff but soft brush
• Paint brush(es)

Portrait Drawing Timelapse :: Sunshine

Aloha friends! Today I am bringing you my very first video from inside my new art studio - woo hoo! My little bungalow has such lovely natural lighting and I'm looking forward to so many more videos to come... Yay!
